Kris King
Bio
In 2006, Kris began working alongside his father, and the founder of ABS, Kevin King. Starting off as a payroll coordinator, Kris became the payroll department supervisor in 2009 and moved on to be the director of sales in 2012. When Kevin was ready to retire in June of 2017, Kris decided it was time to tackle corporate management and keep ABS a family company. His favorite film is Back to the Future.
Matthew Helderman
Bio
Matthew Helderman is the CEO and co-founder of BondIt Media Capital and Buffalo 8 Helderman founded Buffalo 8 in 2010, while an undergrad student. Buffalo 8 has since premiered projects at Sundance, SXSW, and Berlin, as well as producing the Netflix original film “Rodney King” directed by Spike Lee. In 2013, he co-founded BondIt Media Capital and has led BondIt in the deployment of over $210M of capital in over 380+ film, television, and media opportunities, while raising $30M of equity and debt for a partial sale to Accord Financial (TSX: ACD) in addition to expanding the company’s credit facility to $75M in 2020. BondIt projects include Oscar nominated Loving Vincent, the Roland Emerich directed war epic Midway, and the Indie Spirit winner The Peanut Butter Falcon. Helderman also co-managed the acquisition of 30-year-old entertainment payroll firm, ABS Payroll and serves as an Executive Director, Partner, and Board Member. Helderman graduated from Lake Forest College with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and has been a featured TED speaker and profiled in the New York Times.
Luke Taylor
Bio
Luke and his company BondIt Media Capital joined forces with ABS in 2017 seeking to provide a 360 degree solution from financing through payroll and insurance needs for filmmakers, producers and media entrepreneurs. Luke has produced or Executive Produced 200+ feature films through both Buffalo 8 Productions and BondIt Media Capital. Lukes favorite films are Raging Bull, Sideways, Fargo, There Will Be Blood and 2001 A Space Odyssey.
Daniel Willett
Bio
Daniel worked with ABS as a payroll assistant in 2012, but left to pursue a degree in English after a little over a year. With his degree in hand, he returned to the company in 2014 and has proven himself as an excellent copywriter, a proficient and amiable sales person, and the office go-to for grammar and spell checks. Daniel has a deep appreciation for film across a wide spectrum of genres, but his favorite to date is Guillermo del Toros Pans Labyrinth.
